When Susie Silengo first visited Colorado, it was almost too perfect. The incredible natural beauty, the friendly people, the limitless outdoor activities—it was quite overwhelming to really take it all in. Moving to Colorado after graduating from the University of Iowa (in interior design) proved to be the biggest step in her life, but as she takes a look around now she can't imagine a better place to live, work and raise her family.

Susie spent some years in Denver, working as a project manager with a custom home subdivision, and in Rock Springs raising her family before settling in Palisade. To her, there was always something special about life in the Grand Junction area—big town energy, small town community spirit and diverse natural scenery in every direction. "I always knew in my heart that I would end up in this part of Colorado," Susie says. "This community took me in from day one and every day here is full of inspiration."

Whether she's fishing, camping and boating with her family, visiting wine country, skiing, snowmobiling or cooking an authentic Italian meal for family and friends, Susie's the type of person who's enjoying every minute of life and taking advantage of everything this idyllic setting has to offer. Easily the most rewarding thing for Susie is the opportunity to share this wonderful lifestyle with her two teenage children, Chuck and Jessica.
